I’m not entirely trusty how to classify the Otamatone, it’s category of a interbreed between a musical toy, an actualised instrument and a theremin. “Waaaah”-like sounds are produced by compressing the ‘face’ at the lowermost patch sliding one’s fingers up and down the ‘neck’, but to rattling understand what it is, how it’s played and how it sounds, I propose watching this video.
